Note on the text
I first read Typhoon in a North American edition belonging to my paternal grandmother’s father, one that was probably based on a North American serialization. The digital text that we use here is from Project Gutenberg and is based on an original English book edition. When going through the text for this analysis I have used the Oxford World’s Classics Kindle edition, chiefly to confirm paragraph breaks and also for chapter divisions.
